Aware of the importance of maintaining sustainable tourism development and accepting the principles and objectives specifically adopted at the 2015 World Summit on Sustainable Development, COP 21, and the Global Code of Ethics for Tourism + 20, Hotel Urbisol is committed to implementing sustainable management practices for its activities. This involves making commitments to prevent, eliminate, or reduce the impact of our facilities and activities, both internal and external, and to enhance the sustainability of the establishment by improving its interaction with the environment.
In this regard, our entity has adopted the following Responsible Tourism Policy. Through this policy, we commit to meeting the requirements established in our adherence to BIOSPHERE, which includes, among other things, the legal requirements regulating the effects of tourism activities.
Furthermore, we are committed to motivating and training our staff through educational and awareness-raising actions on the principles of Responsible Tourism. We also promote good environmental practices in our surroundings and participate in external activities. We inform both internally and externally about the company’s environmental progress and actions.
Similarly, our establishment explicitly commits to combating sexual exploitation and any other form of exploitation and commercial harassment, especially concerning children, adolescents, women, and minorities. We are committed to implementing universal accessibility measures.
One of our main objectives is to improve sustainable management, accepting commitments to continuous improvement in all areas of sustainability: social, economic, and environmental, as well as in customer satisfaction. Therefore, all future expansion projects or activities will be subject to sustainability and resource efficiency criteria.
This Responsible Tourism Policy will be reviewed whenever circumstances require, and new sustainability objectives will be adopted and published accordingly.
